BK Chowk, Faridabad
Dear Sir,
I am writing to bring to your attention the increasing monkey menace that has been posing a serious threat to the safety and well-being of our students and staff at Meri Vidya Public School. This issue has escalated to a level where immediate intervention from the Municipal Corporation is urgently required.
In recent weeks, there has been a noticeable increase in the presence of monkeys on our school premises. These monkeys are often seen moving in groups, jumping around school windows, corridors, and even entering classrooms. They have been snatching tiffins from students, seizing edibles during lunch breaks, and when confronted, they have shown aggressive behavior, sometimes attacking students and staff.
This situation has understandably caused a great deal of anxiety among the students, and concerned parents have also approached the school administration, urging us to take preventive measures against this menace. Monkey bites, as you are aware, can be potentially hazardous, especially to children.
Although we have deployed security guards to try and deter the monkeys, their efforts have had limited success. Monkeys are agile and quick, making it difficult for humans to effectively manage their movements. The presence of these animals on school grounds is a constant threat, and there is a growing fear that an unfortunate incident could occur if this issue is not resolved swiftly.
In light of the above, I request the Municipal Corporation to consider the deployment of a monkey trap van at our school or, alternatively, to arrange for the services of 'langur handlers,' who are known to be effective in driving away monkeys.
The safety and security of our students and staff are of paramount importance, and it is imperative that we address this issue promptly to prevent any accidents or injuries.
I look forward to your prompt action in this matter and hope that the necessary measures will be taken at the earliest to mitigate this serious problem.
Yours faithfully,
Harihar Goyal
Principal
