Hazard Awareness

Dear Students,

Your safety is our top priority at Meri Vidya Oceanic School. We urge all students to actively cooperate in maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

Potential Hazards and Safety Measures:

1- Obstructions: If you encounter any object, broken glass, electrical wiring, or any obstacle that hinders smooth movement in corridors or stairways, please inform your teacher or floor PTI immediately. If necessary, remove the obstruction safely with the help of other students. After reporting issue, ensure that it has been addressed. If not, please inform the principal.

2- Staircase Safety: Exercise cause while using stairs, especially during recess and after school dismissal. Avoid rushing or creating disturbances that could lead to accidents. Remember, uncontrolled movement can be more dangerous than any external threat.

Additional Safety Tips:

3- Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with the school's emergency procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans. Participation actively in these drills to know your role and escape routes.

4- Fire Safety: Avoid playing with matches, lighters, or any flammable materials. Report any signs of fire or smoke to a teacher or staff immediately.

5- Electrical Safety: Do not tamper with electrical outlets, switches, or wiring. Report any faulty electrical equipment to your teacher.

6- Personal Belongings: Keep your belongings organized and avoid leaving them unattended. Valuable items should be kept in your school bag.

7- Cyber Safety: Be cautions while the internet and social media. Avoid sharing personal information with strangers.

8- Strangers Danger: Be wary of strangers and avoid talking to or accepting gifts from unknown individuals.

We encourage you to report any safety concerns to your teacher, floor PTI, or the Principal. Your cooperation is vital in creating a safe and secure school environment.
