Parent-Teacher Meeting Summary Report

Date of PTM : 23/08/20XX

To: The Principal

Subject: Summary of Feedback from Mrs. Ruby, Pratibha Katiyar and Ravi Raj and Principal himself

Following the recent Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) held on 23rd August 20XX, we have summed up the key points raised by parents across various classes. Below is a summary of the feedback received:

1. General Observations:

Overall Parent Satisfaction: Parents expressed general satisfaction with the school’s performance. However, concerns were raised regarding specific issues across different classes. The Kanha Jhanki and display board became a point of attraction for the parents and the students.

2. Class 6th:

Math's and English Syllabus: Parents are concerned about the extensive syllabus for Math's and English. They find it challenging for students to keep up. Parents compare it with other schools. They were told that we are following NCERT syllabus. There is no scope of trimming it.

3. Class 8th D:

Computer Practicals: It was noted that the number of computer practical sessions is insufficient. Parents have requested an increase in practical classes.

Syllabus Load: Parents mentioned that the syllabus for Class 8th is more extensive compared to other schools, adding pressure on students. Same issue. Same explanation.

4. Class 9th D:

Teaching Pace: Parents expressed concern that Sareen Sir is completing the syllabus too quickly, and is not adhering strictly to the NCERT.

5. Teaching Concerns:

Mr. Gaurav: Several parents complained about Mr. Gaurav’s teaching approach, describing it as passive. He reportedly solves sums on the blackboard without engaging the students actively.

6. Facility Issues:

Class 3D: A parent raised a recurring complaint about the cleanliness of the toilets. This concern was communicated to Harsh, and it was noted that cleaning supplies are insufficient. He agreed to pay attention.

7. Transport Concerns:

Bus Route Request: Mr. Partha Sharma requested that the school bus route be extended to accommodate students from Jharsaintly village. Given the current route duration of one and a half hours, the request was declined.

8. Disciplinary Issues:

Mr. Sahil Jain: The parent of a student for whom we had issued a warning letter acknowledged that the complaints against his son were legitimate after discussing the matter with Principal during the PTM. He was told that any direct communication with the teacher over phone in a threatening tone will have consequences. Kindly follow the established channels of communication.

9. Sports Fund Issue:

Sports Fund Allocation: A parent raised a concern about the non-deposit of the Haryana Education Department sports fund by Tagore, which affects individual participation at parent level in Haryana sports events. Clarified that we cannot deposit the sports fund with both the CBSE and Haryana government. Kindly handle the issue at your level like other parents have been doing for years. The parent was convinced.

10. General Remarks:

Some complaints were considered valid and require attention, while others seemed to arise from the need for parents to voice something during the PTM. Our approach is to listen patiently, acknowledge their concerns, and assure them that their issues will be addressed.

Conclusion:

The PTM provided valuable insights into areas requiring improvement. We appreciate the feedback and will work towards addressing their concerns to enhance the learning experience for our students.
